Parham Bridges: The Next Chapter

From new pickleball courts to resurfaced tennis courts and updates around every corner, this iconic space is poised to create new memories for generations to come.

Welcome to LeFleur East

The places worth knowing in North East Jackson, organized by people who actually live here. Where to eat, what to explore, and how to spend a good afternoon.

hello,

Parham Bridges Park has been the heart of this neighborhood for generations. If you grew up in Jackson, chances are you’ve got a memory here: a tennis match, a picnic table, a walk under trees that have clearly seen some things. Parham Bridges has always been a place where life happens.

The LeFleur East Foundation is leading a $9 million redevelopment of the park, and we don’t take that lightly. This isn’t a coat of paint. It’s an investment in the city’s future and a way to honor what this park has already given us, while making room for what’s next.

A Legacy of Community and Connection

If you grew up in Jackson, there’s a good chance Parham Bridges already knows you. It’s where families have gathered for decades, where friendships got their start over a game of tennis or pickleball, and where more than a few kids learned to ride a bike without training wheels. We’re honored to help write its next chapter.

If you’re newer to town, you’re about to understand why the rest of us feel this way. Parham Bridges is becoming the place to be outside in Jackson, and the work underway now is what keeps it that way for a long time to come.

What’s New, What’s Coming

Here’s where things stand:

  • Pickleball Courts: New courts are in, built for the sport’s growing crowd of devotees. Whether you’ve been playing for years or you’re still figuring out where to stand, there’s room for you out there.
  • Tennis Court Restoration: Four courts have been fully restored, and all of the windscreens have been replaced. The courts are in the best shape they’ve been in years, and it shows.
  • Perimeter Fence and Entrance Gate: A new perimeter fence and entrance gate are going in around the park, giving Parham Bridges the kind of presence that matches what’s happening inside it. It’s the kind of improvement that gets noticed, and remembered.
  • Still Ahead: An expanded walking trail, enhanced landscaping with native plants, and a pro shop. Parham Bridges is getting the kind of care that keeps a place welcoming for the next fifty years, not just the next five.

A Park Worth the Investment

The LeFleur East Foundation is honored to lead the fundraising and project management behind this work. Parham Bridges has always been a place where Jacksonians make memories and meet their neighbors, and we intend to keep it that way.

As the park grows into what this community needs, there’s never been a better time to come see it for yourself. Walk the trail. Pick up a paddle. Parham Bridges is still being built, in every sense of the word.
