For generations, Parham Bridges Park has been the heart of our community. Whether you’ve spent your childhood here or are new to Jackson, chances are you’ve made some unforgettable memories in this iconic park. From family picnics and tennis matches to quiet walks under the towering trees, Parham Bridges has always been a place where life happens.
The LeFleur East Foundation is incredibly proud to be leading the way in the revitalization of Parham Bridges with a $6.5 million redevelopment project. This is more than just an upgrade; it’s an investment in the future of our city, a chance to honor the park’s legacy while creating new opportunities for Jacksonians to connect, play, and grow.
A Legacy of Community & Connection
If you grew up in Jackson, there’s a good chance you’ve spent time at Parham Bridges. It’s the park where generations of families have gathered, where friendships have been forged over games of tennis or pickleball, and where kids have learned to ride bikes and play sports. It’s a place where memories are made, and we’re honored to be part of its next chapter.
For those who are new to Jackson, Parham Bridges is quickly becoming a go-to destination for outdoor recreation, and the improvements we’re making will ensure that it remains a vibrant community space for years to come.
Revitalizing Parham Bridges: What’s New and What’s Coming
We’re already seeing exciting changes taking shape at Parham Bridges. Here’s a look at what’s been completed so far and what’s still to come:
- Pickleball Courts: We’ve added brand-new pickleball courts to meet the growing demand for this fun, fast-paced sport. Whether you’re an experienced player or a newcomer, it’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon with friends and family.
- Tennis Court Restoration: The restoration of our tennis courts is an ongoing process. Right now, we’re resurfacing four courts, and over the next few months, we’ll continue working on more to ensure they’re ready for the next generation of tennis players.
- Park Golf Course: We’ve broken ground on the Park Golf Course, a free, three-hole, par 3 course with artificial turf, located behind the Dr. Hugh G. Ward Playground. This game-changer aims to make golf accessible to all, and we’re excited to see it take shape in the coming months!
- What’s Coming Soon: There’s even more to look forward to, including an expanded walking trail, a stately new perimeter fence, enhanced security features, and a new pro shop. These additions will ensure that Parham Bridges remains a modern, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.
A Bright Future for Parham Bridges
The LeFleur East Foundation is honored to be leading the fundraising and project management efforts for the redevelopment of Parham Bridges. We believe that this park has always been, and will continue to be, a place where Jacksonians make memories, meet new friends, and enjoy the outdoors.
As we continue to revitalize Parham Bridges, we’re excited to see it grow into a space that reflects the needs and dreams of our community. Whether you’re playing pickleball, walking the expanded trail, or enjoying the new Park Golf course when it opens, there’s never been a better time to visit and create your own memories here.
We’re proud of what’s been accomplished so far, and we’re looking forward to all the amazing things yet to come at Parham Bridges Park.
