The District at Eastover

The District at Eastover feels like one of those places that knows how people actually spend a day. Coffee turns into shopping, shopping turns into lunch, and before long someone is stretched out on the green while something small and social starts to gather nearby. There is movement to it, but not rush.

In LeFleur East, it gives Jackson, MS a mixed-use destination built around local businesses, with shops and restaurants at the center, plus a hotel, loft apartments, and a broad green space that makes room for both organized events and everyday hanging around. The whole thing works because it does not feel separated into parts. It feels like a neighborhood within the neighborhood.

That is what makes it stick. You can come with a plan, or not much of one at all, and still end up having a pretty good time.
