Developments @ The District
There’s a lot of momentum building at The District at Eastover, a leading-edge mixed use development taking shape in the heart of Metro Jackson.
One Eastover Center, the anchor office building in The District, is nearly 100 percent occupied, with the recent announcement that Ross and Yerger insurance agency is joining neighbors Baker Donelson and Cosmich Simmons & Brown, who moved into the building last month.
A new BankPlus building is also under construction, which will be the bank’s Jackson headquarters boasting a multifaceted financial center.
The District will also serve up a fusion of culinary and retail innovation, and is moving forward with plans to establish six restaurants of varying categories across a broad spectrum, offering modern Mexican, upscale sushi, modern Mediterranean, neighborhood Italian and several fast casual concepts.
On the retail front, the $125 million, 21-acre development is targeting a slate of exciting and trend-setting retailers, ranging from salon and spa to health and fitness, women’s fashion to gifts, interior décor, furniture and more, and will have further announcements in the near future.
Construction on The District Lofts, which will feature 250 upscale residential units with resort-caliber common areas and amenities, should be complete in spring of 2017.
The 95-room Marriott Residence Inn is rising along Eastover Drive, and will be open for business this summer. The first new hotel in this area in more than a decade is perfect for business travelers or families who prefer added comfort in an amenity-rich urban environment.
A high-end theater, planned for mid-2017, will boast eight screens, all with chair back reclining seats. The theater will include an elegant cocktail lounge where patrons can enjoy wine, beer and cocktails along with tapas-style dining while watching movies or attending other special events. Origin Bank has broken ground on their new bank branch located on the Frontage Road in front of One Eastover Center, with completion expected in late summer 2016. Origin Bank has a wide range of traditional banking services and 41 banking centers in Mississippi and across the Southeast.
Canton mart Square
Canton Mart Square, a long time shopping destination for generations of Lefleur East residents, is celebrating 50 years of serving the community this year. Like the community that it calls home, the shopping center has continued to evolve to reflect the needs of the Lefleur East residents. What hasn’t changed is the family that owns & manages the property and their commitment to providing a well maintained neighborhood specialty center that the merchants, their customers & Jackson public at large can be proud of.

Where is LeFleur East Exactly?
LE is easy to describe to friends and neighbors. Basically, it’s the area along I-55 from LeFleur’s Bluff State Park to Canton Mart Road, all the way back to the Pearl River.
