2016 is well underway and the LeFleur East Foundation is ready for another year of making sure as many people as possible know about all the great things our supercommunity has to offer. (Want to help? Forward this email to a neighbor right now!)
This year, we’re going to be paying special attention to our electronic communications, specifically our website and social media channels.
Visit and like our Facebook page to stay abreast of local events and goings on throughout LE and the city of Jackson.
Our Twitter feed is updated regularly and likewise features events and other items of local interest.
The Foundation’s website continues to be updated as well–with new maps, pages, a handy archive of our newsletters and more.
The LE Board of Directors met on January 20th at the LE House to discuss upcoming plans for improvements to Parham Bridges Park, our “Love for Lakeland” beautification project, this year’s FLASH DASH and much more.
So watch this space as well as our website and socialmedia channels to make sure you’ll be in the know for what comes next!

This month’s LeFleur East Business Spotlight shines on Batte Furniture & Interiors.
While located just across I-55 from LeFleur East proper, Batte Furniture is a member in good standing of the LeFleur East Foundation and has long been a familiar sight on Northside Drive, only one very short block from Exit 100.
The store features three floors of fine furnishings, including an extensive bridal & gifts collection. A great friend and neighbor to LE (they graciously supplied the Foundation with conference room furniture for the LE House), Batte Furniture has been a Jackson landmark since 1883. Their salespeople aren’t just salespeople, they’re also interior designers by trade. So visit Batte Furniture often to see what new and wonderful merchandise they have in store for you.

It’s no secret that LeFleur East is home to some of Jackson’s finest restaurants and eateries. Very soon, we’ll be spotlighting a different place to eat right here in this space each and every month.
