LeFleur East Foundation

The LeFleur East Foundation is a supercommunity/super neighborhood & business organization incorporating a vital portion of Northeast Jackson (see Map ).

Established in 2012, the LeFleur East Foundation is a nonprofit organization created to improve and enrich the quality of life for residents and businesses in Jackson. The Foundation is funded through donations from residents, businesses and fundraising events.

The Foundation’s basic function is to replicate and build upon the success of neighboring organizations such as the Fondren Renaissance Foundation and the Greater Belhaven Neighborhood Foundation, among others.

The foundation is focusing on achieving four goals for its residents and businesses:

• Communication – Awareness and promotion within LeFleur East as well as defining and bridging the gap with other surrounding neighborhoods and businesses.
• Beautification – Investing in beautification is an important step in creating a super neighborhood that feels safe and cohesive.
• Well-Being -Making positive changes in LeFleur East that will influence the success of our community.
• Safety – Working with the local government and local homeowner associations to make LeFleur East a safe place for residents and businesses.
