Leaps & Bounds in Lefleur East
Happy Leap Day and welcome to your LeFleur East newsletter for February–just in the nick of time! 2016 has some great things in store for our super-community, so let’s take a look at a few of the leaps & bounds currently taking place in LE:
The District
Construction at The District at Eastover is quickly shaping up. As the Clarion-Ledger reports, the development’s flagship structure, One Eastover Place, will be completed in March. Jackson law firm Cosmich Simmons & Brown PLLC will take up residence as the building’s first tenant, quickly followed by fellow law firm, Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz (better known locally as Baker Donelson) making a rather short move from their current location in LE.
Welcome to LeFleur Eats!
Eagle-eyed shoppers may have noticed some construction going on at Maywood Mart. That’s because Moe’s Southwest Grill will soon be filling the spot vacated by Ace Hardware (visit the Ace in Fondren for all of your hardware needs!). Longtime residents may remember that Jackson’s first Moe’s was located in LE as well, just a few blocks away on Old Square Road. Alas, that location closed a while ago, so the Foundation is pleased to welcome Moe’s back to the area!
(As for the construction on the other end of Maywood Mart, that news will have to wait. Thanks to the Jackson Free Press for breaking the news about Moe’s!)
Goodbye Julep, HELLO [………………..]
Like many of you, the Foundation (and Highland Village) was sorry to see Julep close its doors last year. But never fear, [………………..] is in negotiations to take Julep’s place as one of the great “LeFleur Eats” in our supercommunity! Details are still being ironed out, so we can say no more than that. But rest assured that your taste buds will be well taken care of when [………………..] opens its doors for what will hopefully be a long and successful stay in LeFleur East. For starters, we recommend the [………………..] with [………………..] paired with a healthy glass of [………………..]. Let the speculation begin!

LE is easy to describe to friends and neighbors. Basically, it’s the area along I-55 from LeFleur’s Bluff State Park to Canton Mart Road, all the way back to the Pearl River. If you’re within those borders, chances are you’re in LeFleur East. So spread the word about Fondren’s neighbor to the east!
