Moe’s Southwest Grill Opens New Location in Jackson

“Welcome to Moe’s!®” has been heard on the streets of Jackson since Moe’s Southwest Grill® opened at Maywood Mart on Thursday, October 20th.

The Jackson Moe’s is owned and operated by franchisee Josh Snyder and his partner Jesse Husmann who have plans to open additional locations in Madison, Ridgeland, and Flowood. Snyder also has three additional Moe’s locations in Columbia, S.C

“Moe’s is a rapidly growing brand with a loyal following across the country and we believe Jackson will also enjoy Moe’s fresh, flavorful food and family-friendly atmosphere,” said Snyder. “We’re delighted to open our doors and look forward to building long-lasting relationships with our guests and the community.”

There are three things Moe’s newbies should know: the crew will say, “Welcome to Moe’s!” when you walk in the door (don’t be jolted – it’s normal), the most popular burrito is lovingly called the Homewrecker, and Moe’s Famous Queso is famous for a reason.

Each meal is created-to-order in a way that is as unique as the people Moe’s serves. With honestly good ingredients like all-natural chicken, grass-fed steak, organic tofu and handcrafted guacamole, Moe’s offers a wide variety of options to meet guests’ unique tastes and lifestyle. And no matter the meal, guests can always count on getting free chips and salsa.

And whether you’re hosting a party, business function or wedding, or you’re tailgating before a big game, Moe’s catering has you covered. Moe’s offers one-of-a-kind caterings filled with flavorful options that please even the pickiest of eaters (vegetarian, gluten-sensitive, lower calorie). Check out www.moes.com/catering for more information.

Highland Village Welcomes Jingle – A Pop-Up Shop by Turkoyz

Seasonal Christmas-themed boutique will offer a wide assortment of ornaments, candles, wreaths, furniture pieces and other holiday décor accessories.

JACKSON, Miss., Highland Village is pleased to announce that Jingle – A Pop-Up Shop by Turkoyz will open for the holiday season on October 7th. The 2,340 square foot seasonal Christmas-themed boutique will be located in the northeast corner of Highland Village’s beautifully renovated courtyard.

“Jingle will put you in the Christmas spirit the second you walk through the door,” said Turkoyz Co-Owner Fran Weeks. “The sights, sounds and smells will project a holiday vibe guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The store will have a ‘Santa’s workshop’ feel – as our employees will wear slippers with jingle bells and monogramed aprons.”

Weeks said Jingle will offer a wide assortment of ornaments, candles, trees, wreaths and foliage, Santa and reindeer figurines, furniture pieces and other holiday décor accessories. “We will have hundreds of Christmas candles and thousands of ornaments with prices starting at $6.50. We will be the one-stop shop for ornament swap parties.”

Jingle will also offer pre-packaged Christmas cookies made in Mississippi, and holiday motif pillows, doormats and table settings. There will even be a ‘pet section’ with Christmas-themed toys, collars and pillows. “If you can put a jingle bell on it, we’re selling it,” Weeks said. Highland Village Jingle Coins will also be available for purchase as gift certificates for use at any of the center’s retail locations.

Alan Weeks, Turkoyz Co-Owner, said the idea for a Christmas-themed pop-up boutique stemmed from increased customer demand for holiday décor merchandise at Turkoyz At Home over the last several years. “Since opening the Home store at Highland Village four years ago, we have stocked a designated Christmas section during the holidays,” he said. “Last year, when we sold over 5,000 Christmas pieces, we knew there was an opportunity to take this to the next level as a natural progression of the Turkoyz brand.”

Weeks said this is the 10th anniversary of the Turkoyz jewelry store at Highland Village – the company’s flagship location and the first of seven stores around Mississippi. “Highland Village has been instrumental in our success through the years,” he said. “Jingle is just one example of their passion for helping tenants succeed. From a collaborative standpoint, they’ve been working to help us bring this concept to life since day one.”
“Fran and Alan Weeks are incredibly talented and have such a knack for curating a merchandise mix that is always relevant and in-demand,” said Masa Liles, general manager at Highland Village. “They have been dream tenants for more than a decade, and we are so excited about this next step in the relationship.”

Ms. Liles said Highland Village wanted to create a pop-up store area specifically for holiday shopping that activates the center’s beautifully renovated courtyard. “This will be an inviting Christmas experience like no other,” she said. “The Mississippi Children’s Museum is opening a pop-up toy store that will be amazing; we will have photographers on-site taking formal indoor and outdoor Santa photos; and our Salvation Army Angel Tree will make it easy to fulfill an underprivileged child’s Christmas wish.”

Ms. Liles said Highland Village will formally kick-off the season with its Holiday Open House on October 14th.

Jingle store hours will be Monday through Saturday 10a – 6p and 12p – 5p Sunday.
